Hi! My name is Yvette Parish, and thank you for visiting expertvillage.com. I am here at Cynergy Dance Studio in San Antonio, Texas with my beautiful model Kerry. We’re going to be talking about moisturizers for different skin types, doing a beautiful makeover on her, discussing eyelashes, the different eyelash curlers, and proper eyebrow placement in the makeup. What I’m going to be applying on my model today is a cream based cream to powder, which is a really foundation for an oily skin type. You can apply it with a sponge. Anytime you use a sponge, it takes off about 50 % of the coverage. So, if you want a nice sheer coverage, use a sponge. If you want a thick full coverage, then use your fingers when you apply. What I do first is I use the sponge to have a nice sheer level of foundation, then I go back with my fingers and apply where she needs a little extra touch up. I’m applying it here. When you apply moisturizer, you apply in an upward form. When you actually apply foundation, you go down. You know why? Because, everyone has a little bit of hair, a little peach fuzz on their face, and when you go up with the makeup you’re making all the little hair stick up. You want to go down when you actually apply the makeup and up when you apply the moisturizers. You can apply my stippling, which is what I’m doing on the chin. You’re just stippling the color. This is nice thin natural layer; breathable. Don’t forget to put a little bit on the ears. Then blend a little bit from the chin to the neck. You don’t want that little line going on. Once again, I’m just doing it very, very sheer with a sponge, because I want a nice sheer level of foundation. Now, I’m going to use my finger. I’m going to apply it under her eye, because this is going to give a little bit more coverage. This is also now acts as a concealer, so you save a step. Since she has this California girl kind of look, I want to keep her looking sun kissed. I’m going to do warm golden colors; natural, but with pretty lashes and eyebrows. The eyes is where you should be spending the most amount of time for your makeover.
