Poi Spinning Turns: Spinning Forward

Now that we have our Poi in our hands, let's start by just spinning forward in equal time. I'm going to be turning to the right. When the Poi get to the down swing, I'm going to sweep them in front of my body and turn. You'll notice that now the Poi are spinning backward. I did not force them to change directions, they just turn that way on their own when I turned my body. Let's see that one more time. Spinning forwards, when the Poi come down, I'm sweeping them in front of the body and turning to the right. It also is spinning to the left. As my Poi's spinning forwards, sweeping them down and back. It's actually much easier than it looks. This is another instance where you don't want to think about it too hard because that will actually confuse you and you won't be able to do it. Just turn and allow the Poi to follow you without trying too hard to control it.
