How to Play the A-Part First Element of the Gobby-O Fiddle Jig

Hi! I’m David Kaynor for expertvillage.com. I’m playing the Old British Isles jig the Gobby-O, a.k.a. Jefferson and Liberty. And I’m going to review the A part really quickly, and then I’m going to break it down into the first element. Now the first element: we’re sort of in an A minor feel here. I don’t know exactly what key we’re officially in. I’m not a musical theoretician, but it looks like it’s got A minor cords played with it, and it starts with an A B pickup on the A string. And that’s most of it I’ll do it again…and that’s the first element.
