How to Apply Moisturizer for Natural Make-Up

I want to thank you for visiting expertvillage.com. Today we’re going to learn about some makeup techniques and this is my beautiful model Ana-Lucy Corona. Ana-Lucy is a little bit dry today, so I’m choosing a moisturizer that’s nourishing and I’m going to apply it. And you can kind of see it a little bit, and this will make the foundation that we’re going to put on top of it be very smooth. I’m just using a very little; I use maybe like about the size of a nickel for her face, and if you need more you can use more, but I just want to give a nice layer. For this moisturizer in particular, I am able to go around the eyes with it. Some moisturizers—make sure that you check—some you are not able to put around your eyes, and you’ll have to use a separate eye cream. I would recommend some sun protection; if you’re going to get a moisturizer it’s really would be very beneficial if you have a SPF of at least a 15 or higher, the higher the better. If you can get a 30 that would be great, and the SPF 15 is really only protecting you from the sun for 15 minutes; if you get a SPF 30 it’s protecting you in the sun for 30 minutes. So if you’re very sensitive to the sun, then you need a higher SPF.
