I’m Helen McMahon for Expert Village. The dinger just went off letting us know that the 25 minutes that the brownies take has been finished. So we’re going to give it a check to make sure that they are done, take a clean toothpick and stick in the middle it comes out clean then they’re done. So we take them out of the oven, normally we let them cool for some period of time. We’re going to accelerate that process a little bit so that I can show you how to put together the checker board. This is the first batch that I made. These are the chocolate brownies, and they were removed from the same pan, same size and I took every other one and set it into this dish which is approximately the same size. And now with the blonde brownies we want to cut down, and I recommend that you use a plastic knife, it works very well and it does not hurt the surface of this very nice professional 9x13 pan. We can cut length wise, and this one is particularly good because it has the markings on it, if you want large brownies then you can cut them to the size that you want. These are smaller ones. And of course on the surface we’ve put a variety of different kinds of nuts. We have walnuts, we have pistachios, pecans and almonds and we’re going to cut these again.
