Adding Nuts To Blonde Brownies

Helen McMahon here for Expert Village. We’ve added some chopped walnuts to the brownies, the blonde brownies that we’re making today and there are other kinds that are also very good with this recipe. For instance you can use pistachio nuts; it gives a very interesting flavor and in this case they would have to be chopped up a bit, you can also of course buy them in a shell but then you’ve got to take all the shells off, which takes a lot of time and it’s pretty tough on your fingernails sometimes, so you can buy them already chopped or certainly shelled, but this is an interesting flavor. We’ll put some of them over here and then we can compare the taste afterwards, see what kind you like best. This is a kind of interesting variation, and because the pan is 9x13 inches you have plenty of area to try this out.
