Adding Sugar To Blonde Brownies

I’m Helen McMahon for Expert Village. You want to take light brown sugar—you can also use dark brown, but the light brown will give you a much lighter contrast with the dark chocolate. So you scoop in, and you’ll need two cups of well packed light brown sugar, no need to take it out of the bag. If you use a big 2 lb bag you can scoop it right in, make sure it’s a full packed cup and it should be fresh. Sometimes if brown sugar hasn’t been used for a while it gets very, very hard and you can’t get a proper measure.
