Finishing Touches for Your Dog Coat

On behalf of expertvillage.com, I am Jennifer with a Perfect Fit Alterations. We are located in Burleson, Texas. Our phone number is (817) 447-3522. We are just doing the finishing touches on our pet coat. We are going to take a pin and pin the other side and we are going to sew around it start at the edge and remember to backstitch. Remove your pins so that you don't sew over your pins. Do a backstitch right here on the edge, put your needle down, raise your presser foot and you are going to sew fairly sew, don't forget to backstitch. You can sew fairly slow around this corner, stop at the top, backstitch, put your needle down and turn your fabric. You want to backstitch quite a bit up here at the top and then continue on around the corner and backstitch here on the bottom. That completes our pet coat. Try it on your little dog and if you need to make any adjustments you can adjust it here on the Velcro side. Now you can see how important that backstitching is pulling this Velcro on and off like this. If we hadn't put that backstitching here on the corners, when we went to pull that Velcro, it pulled the Velcro right off the fabric. So it is very important to make sure that is secure on there.
