How to Make a Souvenirs Shadow Box
Hello this is Jenny with simply beautiful crafts on behalf of expertvillage.com. I'm going to show you yet another way to turn a ordinary silver wire cutlery basket into a shadow box to show of your souvenirs. I took some of the souvenirs that I have collected it. I have a couple of bells. I like bells some people collect spoons and spoons would work just as well. But I have taken some of the bells that I have collected and I have taken my 28 gage silver wire and simply hung my bells from the top of the wire basket. I also took the same wire and hung a key chain from there. Then I have a salt and pepper shaker and a couple of glasses. This little glasses came from Alaska and then this little salt and pepper shaker came from San Antonio Texas. I also have my beautiful Arizona magnets which would stick beautifully to my cabinet. Also have this cute little glass from the town of Chino Valley in Jerome Junction. After I have arrange all of my different souvenirs I thought it would also be fun to display some of these beautiful post cards. So what I'm going to do is put Elmers glue on the back of it and smooth it with a piece of wood or a piece of card board sot that I would have over the whole back. Then I would place it on angle on my souvenir shadow box over lapping the edges like this. With both of these post cards. Once they are dry I will have a very attractive shadow box for my souvenirs. Another thing that you could do that would really be interesting would be to take you post card and rather then putting it on the outside move it across and at every place where it crosses the bar cut it and cut it here and leave space. Cut out the width of the bar and put your post card down in. that would give you a 3-D effect but rather then having your post card be on the outside of your shadow box it would be at the background of your shadow box. Which would be a fun way to show off your souvenirs. Whether they are silver bell, silver spoons, or a variety what I have here.
