How to Make a Simply Roses Shadow Box
Hello this is Jenny with simply beautiful crafts on behalf of expertvillage.com. I love roses I think that they are one of the most beautiful flowers that God created. When I was in the fabric store the other day looking for some silk flowers I saw a display that was absolutely beautiful and very expensive. I thought to myself how could I recreate that in a different way and not put so much money into it. I found this beautiful divided basket and I thought what a great way to display roses in a simple fashion that would really make the roses there self stand out. So I have decided to make a shadow box out of this divided basket. What you need to do before you put you make your shadow box out of something this fragile is to glue on a dial stick across the top and weighted down so that it sticks and it gives a even disturbing to the weight and then you want to put another piece on the bottom so it would be equal distance from the wall. Once you have done that then you could put a picture hanger on it and you are ready to hang it once you have filled it. After I have decided that I want to put roses in them I thought how would I secure them so they won't limp and falling all over the place. I thought I can use some tissue paper. So I took some tissue paper, scrunch it up, put it in the bottom of each section of the basket, and then put the roses in. I decided I like the red rose flanked by a pink and a white. So I put the tissue paper in and then I just put the rose in moved around until it was were I liked it. Maybe put a little bit more in the bottom. Took the leaves and put them in. manipulated them and now I have the first sections and now I would do that with the other two sections. With tissue paper and roses. What I like about doing this is even though it is yellow fabric in the basket and I'm using yellow tissue paper if I wanted to change the flowers for a season I could put the tissue paper extended a little bit of a different color and put in a seasonal flower and change them as I would like to. So that is how I made a shadow box out of divided basket and simply roses.
