How to Make a Measuring Spoon Shadow Box
Hi this is Jenny with simply beautiful crafts on behalf of expertvillage.com. I like to show you how to make a adorable shadow box out of this red tin tray. These nesting measure cups that are heart shape, these measuring spoons that are heart shape and a little heart shape bud vase. The first thing that you want to do it take one of theses picture hangers and some 28gage wire and put it through and secure it in the back so you would have something to hang your shadow box with. Then I chose the smallest of the measuring cups and I'm going to put in here. I'm going to put the wire through the back I'm going to decided that I think I want this to hang fairly near the top. So I'm going to put it through and secure it on the back and hang it. I'm going to give enough lee way so it would hang flat. And decide if I like that or not. I think that looks like a good spot for it and then I'm going to hang my three little measuring spoons and they would be hanging in here. Placed like this and the last thing that I would do now in the bottom is put in the bud vase. What I would do with the bud vase is put in where I want it and to keep it from falling out I would simply take some wire, wrap it around the stem and put in through the back so it is not going to go any where. Once that I have that secure when I can hang my spoons where I want them so they don't interfere with the bud vase and the last thing I would do is put a bud in mu bud vase. I what I like about this two is when I have a real stem flower with a real bud I can put in here and change it with the season. So I can have a heart shape for valentines but I can also change this and make it even look Christmas. And that is how I would make a shadow box out of a simple red tin.
