Hi! I’m Fran Bricken and I’m here to discuss rubber stamping using water colors. You can water color with pencils and using blender pens but you can actually rubber stamp using water regular water colors that you can buy at any craft store. As you can tell these are my well used water colors, what you want to do is take your stamp, it works best if you got an image that looks would look nice water colored like this, it has a little bit of scenery to it, you just want to stamp it on your ink pad, stamp it on the paper like that and then you would just do it like you’re doing any other kind of water coloring and you can get kind of a nice you know effect going down. The nice thing about water colors is it doesn’t have to be you know exact and blotted some to get the look that you want and make sure you clean your brush in between stamping and you can mix your colors a little bit to get the look that you need but all in all it gives a nice effect and it will make a nice card. This is just a card I made with that same stamp of water color that twirl around the edges to put on a card to give a little bit of a beach scene which I think turned well. You can also water color on the rubber stamp and you want to get kind of make your a little bit of not make it too thick but just kind of paint over your stamp like that and then you can stamp down and you can just stamp maybe 2 or 3 times and get kind of a neat image where your water color has made sort of a blurry stamp and it’ll look like that.
