Stand Up Youth Wrestling Move
Hi! My name is Matthew Moyles. I’m a coach here at Minisink Valley. I’m here on behalf of Expert Village and today we’re going to go over competitive wrestling. Now Richard and I are going to demonstrate a basic move from bottom it’s called a standup; it’s very simple. First move I’m going to do is I’m going to clear my hand and get hand control at the same time. My left arm is going to be out of the way, my right arm’s going to get hand control, and my left leg is going to standup here. Richard well then push into me slightly, driving me to my feet, and now I’m up in hand control. I break the grip, take his right hand, and put it in my back pocket. Then take a big step out with my left leg and pivot on it, turning to face my opponent. Now Josh and Richard are going to demonstrate the proper way to do a standup in full speed. Go ahead boys.
