Bridging Stretch for Youth Wrestling Moves
Hi! My name is Matthew Moyles. I’m a coach here at Minisink Valley. I’m here on behalf of Expert Village and today we’re going to go over competitive wrestling. We’re going to go over a basic stretch called bridging. What we’re going to have here is our two wrestlers, Josh and Richard, are going to get in what is called a front bridge. Go ahead fellows. They pivot on their head removing their hands from the mat and stretching out their neck muscles. The importance of this is to roll around on your head trying to get your ears to touch the mat to stretch out those neck muscles. To further stretch out those neck muscles, you can flip over and go into a back bridge. Go ahead fellows. Once again, the importance is to trying to get your nose to touch the mat or as closes to mat as you can stretching out those neck muscles.
