How to Make a Figurine Shadow Box
Hello this is Jenny with simple beautiful crafts on behalf of expertvillage.com. We are making shadow boxes out of traditional shadow boxes that you can purchase for that purpose and we are also using other unique items to make shadow boxes. In front of you you see in front of me you would see some of my figurines and some of them have been display in my china hutch but other haven't had a home. Ii decided that this adorable divided basket would make a wonderful home for some of my figurines but before I could make it a shadow box I needed to be able to hang it on the wall. In order to do that you are going to need to take a dial stick or some other small piece of wood and another one the same size so that your basket would hang against the wall and not tip and you are either going to want to glue it on with good old Elemers glue or a wood glue and then weigh it so it would be very secure and the weight would be all the way across the basket and not hanging on one piece of it. Once that is secure you can put a picture hanger on it and then you would be able to hang it on your wall. Once you have that finish of course then you want to fill up your shadow box. I tried several of my different figurines. My beautiful gray dolphins were to big and when I put in my lantix china they just kind of disappear into the yellow. So it I wasn't really happy with those but once I put the little boy and girl in here I couldn't resist I thought it was just to cute and then I thought what a great shadow box to hang in the bedroom for the grandkids. So then I though okay what else is going to go really well in here so I tried the elephants and kind liked him he look good in there and then I tried my little horses and somehow and the little boy and the little girl just seem to go. So that is how I decided which figurines I was going to put in my divided basket shadow box. However, in the future I might have some different figurines so I'm not going to secure this with any kind of glue I think that they would be in there just fine because it is deep enough. So I'm going to hand this shadow box in the guest room for the grandkids and perhaps in a later date I would change the figurines and they would be different ones and that is how to make a divide basket into a shadow box for figurines.
