Hello this is Jenny with simple beautiful crafts on behalf of expertvillage.com. We are making shadow boxes out of a variety of different things this is one is a traditional shadow box purchased for that very purpose. The first thing that you are going to do is open up the back and take the back piece of, and because this shadow box does not have a hanger on it you want to put a picture hanger on your shadow box. It is a little chancy to try hang it just by the piece of wood. Once you have secure your picture hanger you are ready to put something inside of it. What I want to put inside of this one are wedding mementos and I thought what would make a interesting and unique background for it would be to take plain tissue paper and crinkle it up just crinkle it up. Then spread it out again then you would have texture look. Take that and put on your back just like you would wrap a package or course very neatly. I'm just going to tape it to give you a idea on what we are doing with it. There you have a texture look that is a little bit different then your traditional look. Then you might want to take the wedding invitation itself especially if someone is important to you. You could get something that is genetic or if you are making this specific for someone of course you would use there on wedding invitation and you would want to glue it down of course. Put the wedding invitation down in there and then I took wedding photos and I put it on corrugate card board to give it a 3-D effect. So I have wedding pictures and then a picture of the cake and I played with it a little bit to see what I like. First I put the couple at the top and the cake at the bottom and moved it around and decided that I like the balance better with the people at the bottom and the cake at the top and then you include mementos from the wedding. Such as the garner belt or the little bottle of bubbles that come with it whatever you would like after you have decided how you like it something like this can be secure with a straight pen instead of glue because you are putting it into cork board and then you are ready to insert it back into the frame and there you have a wedding shadow box.
