How to Throw a Football Better

Hi my name is Otis St. Clair and today I am here to teach you how to throw a football better. The first thing we need to talk about is our grip. Where do you place your hands on a football so that we can hold it well and throw it good? These are called threads. What we'll do is we'll place our hands as far back on the football as we can without getting too far away from the threads. So what we'll do is we'll place our second to last finger and our pinkie finger close to the threads with our middle finger and our forefinger being close to the tip of the ball. Our thumb should be directly behind the ball, right underneath our forefinger and that would make us hold the ball better and have a better grip. The second step in throwing a football is to have the ball placed up high above our heads and what we are going to do is we are going to lead with our chest and shoulder by stepping into our throw, bring our chest and shoulder forward, followed by our elbow and then our hand. As we release the ball is going to come up off our fingertips as we release and our arm will come down from our shoulder to our pocket so it should look something like this. That's how you should throw a football. My name is Otis and hopefully you will throw a football better.
