Interacting Strategies When Playing Mancala
Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of expertvillage.com, today we’re discussing strategy techniques for playing the game Mancala. Now, in our earlier segments, we’ve been discussing various techniques and strategies. In this segment, I want to talk about interacting all of these strategies together. When you’re playing the game Mancala, you’re not necessarily going to be thinking oh, I’m using this strategy and I’m using this technique and I’m using this strategy and so on and so forth. What I’m trying to demonstrate is that you’re taking all of these ideas, all of these techniques and merging them together. Especially, when you get another turn and you can interact the strategies. An example of this would be hoarding. Hoarding is a great powerful strategy when it can be pulled off effectively. For instance, if you are hoarding, a lot of your stones in one of your smaller bins, it can provide a great strategy for looping. Therefore, we’re hoarding and then interacting with a looping strategy. Keeping in mind all of these different strategies. There going to interact with each other and they’re not always going to be effective, but for the most part they will and the more you play the game, the better of course you will get at the game Mancala.
