Hi this is Aaron Fruitstone from Chi Martial Arts in Miami Shores, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.chimartialarts.com. The next technique that you’ll be learning is a rising block. We’ll be doing it from a parallel stance, feet are shoulder wide and hands loosely clinched at the belt level. You’re going to take your right hand palm up, left hand palm down. Make sure that the right hand is on top. You’re going to slowly bring the right hand straight up, above and in front of the forehead, bringing the left hand to the hip. Again. Right hand palm up, left hand palm down, with the right hand on top, lifting up and rotating so that outer forearm is facing diagonal above you and the left hand on the hip. At normal speed. And the left. Again you want to make sure that the left hand is up and the right hand is down, with the left slowly rotated, so the hands will change positions. Right hand on top, left hand on top. And we’ll be back.
