Hello I'm Sifu Mallon with the Clearwater Kung Fu Center and this is Kung Fu For Health. In this clip I am teaching you saber basics and this basic is called cut wrap. To begin with I hold the saber in my right hand, I place my left hand on to my side so my left hand doesn't really move in this drill. I am going to begin with the saber touching my left shoulder. I am going to go down in an arcing slash and as I pass my shoulder, I will turn sideways so you can see and as I pass this position I am going to flip the wrist and turn my hand over. I am going to bring the sword around my back and the back is going to touch the top of my shoulder. Then I drop it around my head and repeat the same combination again. As you see I am moving smooth in the action and this is the most important part. Shoulders are down and I am not ducking my head as I come around. This is cut and wrap, kung fu saber.
