Etude Number Nineteen for Classical Guitar: Part 3
Hi! My name is John Armstrong with expertvillage.com. I’m a professional guitar instructor, and today I’ll be discussing some advanced classical guitar pieces. Okay, now the next phrase starts off just as we did at the beginning. It’s reintroducing the theme, but it takes a different twist at the end. Bring out that beat. Here we have a D with an F sharp in the bass. Embellishing on that to a G, then move it up to a D7, back to G. Okay, so here’s those measures again. So we changed. This is bringing us up into the relative major; you notice the telltale signs of that. We stop seeing the use of B7, the 5 chord of the key of E minor. Now, we’re seeing a little bit some D chords in there like the 5 chord of the key of G, the relative major to E minor.
