Tae Kwon Do Middle Inner Forearm Block

Hi this is Aaron Fruitstone from Chi Martial Arts in Miami Shores, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.chimartialarts.com. The next technique you’ll be learning is known as a middle inner forearm block. Middle inner forearm blocks protect against attacks that are coming from the sides or from the diagonals, as well as certain attacks that come from straight ahead. You’re going to have your feet shoulder wide, make fist with your right hand on the bottom and left hand on the top, both palms facing the ground. You’re going to slowly rotate both palms up, bringing the right hand to shoulder height, so these will travel the same height; everything is protected from belt level to shoulder level. Left hand on the hip. Again. Right in the center of your body, both palms down, with the right hand on the bottom, rotate both palms. Make sure that right hand is the same height as the shoulder and the left hand on the hip, in parallel stance. And with the left, left hand palm down, right hand palm up, rotate. And we’ll be back.
