Etude Seven for Classical Guitar: Part 2
Hi! My name is John Armstrong with expertvillage.com. I’m a professional guitar instructor, and today I’ll be discussing some advanced classical guitar pieces. Okay, the next 4 measures start off exactly the same as the last one did. We’re pedal tuning around that A minor chord using that tremolo technique there. AMI there for the right hand fingering. Going into the next part, the D minor chord. There’s A minor chord, E7, A minor. Starts off the same again. Here it goes into an A minor instead, then an E major chord, and to complete the phrase, back to the A minor chord little pull off or slur between F and E. D sharp note ending on the higher octave. Now, if you notice above that, that’s an arpeggio based out of the A minor. Just above that poco ritenudo, which just means a little bit of a retard there. We’re going to let it kind of fall apart right there. Okay, it gets real soft here as we decrescendo down to piano, from forte down to piano. Here’s those 4 measures now. A lot of vibrato in the last A note really makes it sound nice.
