Andantino One for Classical Guitar
Hi! My name is John Armstrong with expertvillage.com. I’m a professional guitar instructor, and today I’ll be discussing some advanced classical guitar pieces. Okay, next I’d like to discuss a piece Andantino by Mauro Giuliani. This one is not in the key of A minor; it’s in the relative major to the key of A minor, C major. It introduces, in the 2nd half, a little tremolo technique; a little right hand technique referred to as a tremolo technique that we’re going to discuss, which prepares us for the next piece I’d like to do that is in the key of A minor. First, let’s discuss the first 3 lines of this piece, just basically using intervals here. We just have 2 note chords, 2 note voicing. Pretty much the right and left hand indications on here are pretty good. Watch for your dynamic indications, your crescendos and decrescendos. Those are nice, try to use those. In 3/4 time, here we go.
