Allegro Five for Classical Guitar
Hi! My name is John Armstrong with expertvillage.com. I’m a professional guitar instructor, and today I’ll be discussing some advanced classical guitar pieces. Next, I’d like to discuss measures 13-16 on the Mauro Giuliani piece Allegro. Another arpeggio section here, based out of an A minor but is 2nd inversion of the A minor chord where we have the E note here in the bass. Planting PIM and A fingers. If you notice down below that, it is labeled crescendo. This is a spot where we’re going to bring the music back up, the volume. You may want to practice that and measure relatively loud. The next measure, same thing, but our E is going to be the octave of E. It’s still a 2nd version A minor, but we’re using this lower octave planting PIM and A. Those two measures together. The next measure is based out of A suspended 2nd chord. We’re going to be lifting off, we’re going to be using a B note instead of the C natural note, planting PIM and A though. Measure 17 will be based out of our E major chord, or 5 chord. Once again, still planting though PIM and A. So, putting those measures 13-17 together, they would be something like this. Again.
