Wardrobe Tips for Acting Auditions

My name is Katrina Cook and I am a casting director and president of Katz Casting. I am here on behalf of ExpertVillage.com we are going to be talking about wardrobe basics as an extra. The actors on set are provided their own wardrobe but as an extra you have to bring your own. One thing we recommend is bringing four changes of clothes. Now this means all different colors. You’ve got your solid colors are always a great choice. You need to make sure that you pay close attention to your booking notice that tells you what season you are in. These would be appropriate for pretty much anytime though being a business type shirt but coats you would not really want to wear those for summer attire. These would all be good choices because they are basic, solid colors and you don’t want any styles that are too busy, too small of patterns and try to stay away from blacks, reds and whites. You are also available to bring any type of props. You could bring a purse or scarf, different things like that may let you use in the scene.
