How to Wax Upper Lip

I'm Holly Olson on behalf of Expert Village. I am going to talk about lip waxing. Lip is a real testy thing for a lot of women because they feel they can't grow it out long enough to go in and get a wax so they feel like they need to tweeze every day or they start to shaving which causes it to get worse. The myth is that if you wax your lip, that it gets darker, very very false. The more you wax the less hair you will have because every time you are waxing, you are killing that follicle and it gets to where it cannot grow back and it becomes damaged so therefore, you will not have as much hair in the future months if you just keep up on it. When doing your lip wax, make sure you stay off the lip tissue because you can get a tear and actually have your lip bleed. So I am going to put a little soft wax on your lip, drawing downward and staying above that lip line. If you are taking your lipstick off when you are waxing, you were too close and drawing it down to the cheek to make sure you have covered the entire area. Again, pressing the muslin cloth down and I will hold that skin real tight with my thumb and always get a little brush afterwards and that just kind of takes that sting out of there. Going to get the other side. The thing to remember with lip is you don't want to use any perfumed products. Lip is a very sensitive area so be careful of what creams you put on afterwards. Go ahead and clean up the other side and again, you can see me pulling the skin tight with my thumb and that is going to clean that right up. Going to get you a little aftercare.
