Not Marking the American Flag

American Flag etiquette, and the rules concerning our nation's flag, is something that every American should become thoroughly familiar with. Hi, I'm Captain Joe Bruni, with over three decades of firefighting and EMS experience. What I want to talk about when it comes to flag etiquette and the rules, is marking the flag. At no time, should the American Flag ever be marked with any type of insignia, letter, drawing, or any other type of embroidery, to deface the flag. The American Flag should be flown freely. There should not ever be a signature, autograph, insignia, number, letter, patch, or anything to deface the American Flag, attached to it, or sewn on to it. American Flag etiquette is something that every American should learn and become familiar with, and the rules pertaining to what's correct, and incorrect, according to our nation's rules and regulations, of the American flag. I'm Captain Joe Bruni. Stay safe, and we'll see you next time.
