Example of Waxing & Shaping Eyebrows

I'm Holly Olson on behalf of Expert Village. We are going to talk about actually waxing the brow. If you are using a soft wax with a strip and I've got a non-woven strip and its spatula, find one that you can break kind of in the center and you will up with a nice clean edge. This is one of the best things to get a nice clean brow wax is to have this nice little corner to work with. Pulling the skin tight, you are going to keep the wax underneath the brow following the arch and around and again carefully you don't go too high, it will catch those little root bases. Going to keep that strip nice and firm and before you pull to make sure you are pulling the skin down away from the direction that you are going. You can come back and clean up any little excess and you have a nice clean brow and the hair will come off in a nice line. Now that we have our brows nice and clean underneath, we are going to go ahead and go into the center and this one you want to brush upward because most hair growth will be upward strokes. You don't want to take it too far over. Remember that line where you have the corner of your nose, corner of the eye, you don't want to go too far in. Get your wax on there and this way you paint it upward; therefore we are going to dry it downward when we pull the hair out. Again, coming back and cleaning up any little spots. Now optional waxing depending on your brow shape, you may want to wax across the top. My model does not need that but it is just following the line the same as you did underneath, brush it downward, hold the skin tight and pull back. Always follow with ex-foliation, just rubbing the skin really nice and clean. You can use a little Witch Hazel and that will help get that redness down.
