How to Enter an Acting Audition

My name is Katrina Cook and I am a casting director and owner of Katz Casting, and I am here on behalf of Expert Village.com to let you know what you need to do to prepare for your next audition. Now we are going to demonstrate the audition process. So I am going to invite Drew in and he is going to help us out here and remember that sometimes it is just the casting director and the reader that is there and other times, the producer and director will sit in as well. Just remember to be natural whatever role you are reading. One thing I want to point out is to have good posture and even if there is a chair sitting right there, don’t sit down unless your scene calls for it or if the director asks you to do so. Let’s stand up here and try this again. Remember to hold your head high, smile, make eye contact and be very confident because you want this role. Be sure to hand your head shot to the casting director once you enter.
