Rules of the Game Abalone

Hello! My name is Melissa Shank and on behalf of expertvillage.com, today we are discussing some basic tips for playing the game Abalone. Now in an earlier segment we talked about the object of the game and set up of the board. So now it is time to discuss some very simple rules of the game. There aren't many rules, but there are a couple that we need to follow. So we have a look at the board once again and of course in that earlier segment, we mentioned that black goes first. So rule no.1 get a dice from another game or a dice that you might have just off to the side perhaps somewhere and roll it. Whoever gets the highest number of course would be player 1 and we will go first. Black always begins. Black goes first and that is rule number 1. Next rule is that players move in turn. What I mean by this is that nobody gets a second time or by moving or ejecting your opponent's marbles, you don't get another turn. It goes basically player 1, player 2, back and forth so players move in turn. I will teach your some of the different moves that you can use with Marbles. You will find it later on that you can only move 1, 2, or 3 marbles at a time and will get into how to eject those marbles of your opponent. Another important rule is that players move in turn and in sequence, one after the other. Finally one final rule is once you have made a play, so once you have moved a marble, you can't change your mind. The move cannot be changed. So make sure when you touch your marble and you've moved it, that that is exactly the move that you want to make.
