Decaffeinating Black Tea

How are black tea decaffeinated? There's a commercial style, which means that when you go to the store it comes in a package that says, decaffeinated black tea. Those teas are decaffeinated in many ways. There's two that's chemical process, where they use a chemical to take out the caffeine. There's another process which is the best way, it's called the CO2 process, the carbon dioxide. What they do is that, the carbon dioxide is condensed into like a liquid form and it is compressed, it interacts with the black tea. And once the carbon dioxide attaches itself to the caffeine in the black tea, it evaporates, and you're left with most of the flavors and health benefits of tea, versus a chemical residue when you use, such as ethylene acetate, that leaves a chemical on your tea, and it takes away some of the health benefits of tea as well. Another way to take away caffeine in tea, is to do it by yourself. And what you do is you brew it for 30 seconds to 1 minute, and then you throw away that first brew, and make the second brew the way you would brew it if you were brewing any other tea, from 3 to 5 minutes, and that brew would be 90 percent caffeine free.
