So how do you brew a black tea? Every type of black tea is a little bit different. But generally you can brew with boiling water. Most teas you can't. Black teas you can. Because it's fully withered and oxidized you don't have to worry about killing tea leaves. You can use a ceramic pot or you can use tea balls or an empty tea bags. What we also we recommend is to give your tea leaves a lot of room for it to open and unfurl. But with black tea you don't have to worry about that. It doesn't open that much. So getting a smaller tea ball is just fine. And for a ceramic pot make sure when you are brewing black tea to not put too much in there because black tea is already strong in flavor. So for stronger tea you maybe add an extra minute to your brew time. Usually brew time is three to five minutes for black tea. If you want stronger tea add another minute or so. But if you want really, really strong tea, if you are one of those people who just switched from coffee, add more tea leaves. The one thing you don't want to do is to make it bitter. But tea can taste strong without taking it and making it bitter. Always remember tea timer, tea pot and various tea filters that you can use. There's lots on the market.
