Belly Dance: Left Foot Travel Rocking Undulations With Sunrise Sunset Arms

Hi, I'm Johanna, and this is Karen. And we're here from Hip Expression Belly Dance Studio in St. Petersburg Florida. Let's work on our rocking undulation with our left foot forward. And we're going to do that with our sunrise and sunset arms. So our left foot is going to come forward, and then our right foot is going to be in the back. As we travel, step out with the left, right, good. If you want more of an explanation on this, you can check out our other clips where we go over this in more detail, good. Add the sunrise and sunset arms. Left, right, left, right, then bring the arms down; left, right, left, right, good. Keep the shoulder blades pulling down your back. Remember your arms are your frames, so we want a nice beautiful flowing frame around us; left, right, good; left, right. As you bring the arms down, keep the elbows soft; left, right, good. Let's try it double time. Ready, and left, right, left, right. Keep that foot work steady, switching the left foot and the right foot. So there's no pause in your movement, or your feet, good. Practice this in front of a mirror so you'll have a nice smooth undulation with no bobbing up and down level of change, good. And soon you'll be flying across the dance floor.
