Belly Dance: Right Foot Travel Rocking Undulations With Sloping Arm Variation

Hi, I'm Johanna and this is Karen and we're here with Hip Expressions Belly Dance Studio in St. Petersburg Florida. Let's work on our Rocking Undulation, leading with our right foot, traveling to the side with a sloping arm variation. If we put our right foot just ahead of our left, and we're rocking from the forward and to the back. So now we're going to angle our body slightly in the direction we're traveling. And we're going to lead with our right arm up, left arm down. So right, left, good. Keep your shoulder blades pulling down your back, so you've nice and open, good. As we switch sides, we're going to switch direction but we're going to keep our right foot in front. So now our right foot's crossing in front of our body and our arms are framing, pointing in the direction that we're going. Switch back to the right side, right foot still leading, good. Very nice. Excellent. Practice in front of a mirror so you're make sure you're not popping up and down. Good. Right foot leading, double time. Right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left. Good. And back the other way. Beautiful. Nice. Get a nice move undulation here and you'll be dancing right across the floor in no time at all.
