Do Crunches to Eliminate Side Stitches Before Running

Hi I'm Robert Rogers and I'm Mike Ballosonie on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to talk about little tips and tricks about running. Now sit ups you would think that it ain't anything about running but in any experience runner knows when you go out and run you are going to experience something called a side stitches. A side stitches is your muscles aching. If you don't know about a side stitch yet you soon will. A way to eliminate side stitches is actually to help strengthening your muscles. So when you go out and run you actually fell a side stitches. It is good to run through it. It is also good that you know your limit so you don't actually pull a muscle. Some of the things we do to help eliminate side stitches is to make sure that we have a good sturdy muscle cage. One in fact of doing that is crunches or sit ups. We are going to go over some of the crunches now. A proper crunches you don't have to go all the way to the top like you use to. You also won't be pulling on your head or on your ears. Your arm should be to your side. You should not be straining your neck you can even almost look at the ceiling the whole time. Pick your point on the ceiling and do crunches. How many crunches are going to help? It is all up to you. If you do not have any side stitches you are a lucky person and you should be in pretty good shape. Go ahead a give them a side view. As you can see Mike keeps his legs straight up. He is using his abdomen to actually pull up.
