Creative Table Settings for Dinner Parties
Hi this is Cheryl with Expert Village. And I’m going to show you how to set a table, you can also do some fun things with a napkin, you don’t necessarily have to put it down underneath the two forks, you can do something fun, you can put your napkin in the middle of the plate here if you like. You can also make some fun different napkin rolls, you can roll it and maybe put a little something in the center and put that in the center of the plate as well. So there’s lots of fun things you can do with your napkin, you can really get creative and add your personal touch and your personal style, but this is the basics. Now you can also, if you’re going to be serving your dessert and a soup, you can put your soup spoon at the end here and you can put your dessert fork and spoon up there. I’m going to go ahead and get those, I’ll be right back. Now I wanted to show you if you’re going to be setting up your dessert fork and your coffee spoon, you want to lay it, your fork is going to go this because generally that’s going to be the direction you’re going to take it from. So remember since you’re right handed or left handed, you want to put your fork down here and then we’ll have to make a little bit of an adjustment here and then the spoon here, that’s for your coffee, you can set that up. But that’s kind of, you don’t have to set that up, you can always bring your coffee spoon with the coffee service, you can also bring your dessert fork when you’re setting up the desserts. This is kind of an optional setting, so depending on how you’re setting up your dinner, you can go ahead and do your basic setting, which is your salad fork, your dinner fork, your knife and your spoon.
