Questions & AnswersTo become a comedian, you must suffer. Suffer! Pain! Suffering! You must not have no joy in your life and suffer and more suffering! And, that way you can get the raw of the funny and really be funny. But, you've got to suffer! And, suffering and suffering. Let me stop. No. To become a comedian, you just have to have faith and believe in yourself and persistence and keep doing it and don't take no for an answer. And, when you take no for an answer find a way to take those no's and make those no's into yeses. And, take the frowns and make them into smiles and the smiles and turn them into laughs. And, sooner or later you will become a comedian. But, you've got to have faith in yourself and your own abilities first. Faith in you is very important in becoming a comedian. You need to be able to speak and listen intelligibly. Or, you need to have an act to where you're speaking English intelligibly does not really apply to you. So, you must be able to speak. You must be able to stand in front of a group of people. You must be able to convey a message. You must be able to have a thought and convey that thought into other people's minds and be able to relate and touch people. And, however your act works. Because, there's all types of different type of styles of comedians. The next level for a comedian depends on what your personal career goals are. Some comedians just want to be lifelong comedians. Just want to perform stage after stage and never do anything else. A lot of comedians may use comedy as a platform to go into other venues, such as acting and becoming actors. And, then those goals are totally what you make it. But, whatever your personal goals are in your life and what you want to do is what you want to do. But, me personally I'm a comedian for life. I just act so people watch me do comedy.
