Questions & AnswersHi this is Cheryl with Expert Village. I’m going to show you a really simple, but very elegant strawberry garnish. You want to find a strawberry that has a pretty shape and a nice color since this is going to be the focal point of our dessert. You’re going to set the strawberry down on your cutting board, you want to go almost to the top of the strawberry where the color changes, it gets a little lighter in color and then about every eighth inch we’re going to make a slice. So we’re going to keep slicing. Now we’re going to cut almost to the top of the strawberry, but you want to not go all the way in, just to the part of the strawberry where it changes color, it gets a little bit whiter. And think about eighth inch slices and then you’re going to go all the way around and then the fun part is the last little bit there. And you got that last cut there. And you want to keep your fingers away from the knife, hold it on the top and then gently you push out and you have this gorgeous strawberry fan.
