How to Decorate a Kitchen

Hi my name is Frank Clarke with Oliver and Associates Realty in London Ontario on behalf of expertvillage.com. I like to speak with you for a few minutes in regards to your kitchen when it come to selling your home. Kitchens and bathrooms sell homes. You have to understand that after 15 years of selling real estate the biggest criticisms you get from purchasers after walking through homes are comments on regards to kitchens and bathrooms. So let me give you a very very important hint clear your courtier tops. Now presently I'm standing in a brand new home a model home and I want you to think about why a model home sells and presents itself better than a resale home it is because there are less things in it and I do understand that you have to continue to live in your home, you have to continue to fix breakfast for your family, and you have to continue to do dishes, but do not ever leave any of them in the sink before showing. Try to have the dishes in the dishwasher even cleaned when you are on the way out of the door. Have it turned on before a showing if you have to. Declutter your courtier tops completely. This courtier of course being a model home has nothing on it but I suggest that maybe a nice wicker basket, maybe some plates mats rolled up in it, maybe just one appliance would be okay, but you wouldn't want to have your electric kettle, toaster oven, maybe a toaster, a blinder, you don't want all that stuff out. Put it away because kitchens and bathrooms they sell houses.
