Making Thai Tea

So how do you make Thai tea? Thai tea comes in raw form like this. It looks just like any other black tea, but it's got some orange tinge to it. So what you do, is you bring water to a boil. You put in the Thai tea leaves, the same way you put in any other tea leaves, but you let it sit. The longer you let Thai tea sit, the better it will actually taste. After about five to ten minutes, and you take out the Thai tea brew, this is what it looks like. If you like to have it stronger, simply add more Thai tea leaves, more of this stuff, and you have this. After you have the brew, then you add the sugar, and the milk. The best type of milk to use is a thicker one, the heavy whipping cream, but if you like soy, and you're lactose intolerant, that's another option. For this demonstration, I'm using the half and half, which is fine too. The milk that's added into it, enhances the flavor of the spices, so you bring out the true essence of what Thai tea is. Then you add the sugar. I like my sugar already melted down into a liquid. Then you put your liquid sugar in. After that case, you put your ice in, like so, and you take a spoon, and you stir it up, and voila, you have Thai iced tea.
