Chad was a HUGE help! I am a single parent. I have been waiting MONTHS for my ex to come install the ceiling fan. My son and I watched the video and he did it himself! We could not have done this project without Chad's help. I would rate him TOP of the line. He explained everything in great detail. Thank you so much! Jody

My thanks to Chad, I was pretty clueless about how to get the fan I received second hand up on my ceiling and working. I too live in an old house and Chad's step by step fit perfectly with every question I had. Only took about 40 minutes or so, watching each step before I attempted it. A great site!

How to Clean Up After Installing a Ceiling Fan

Hi! I'm Chad Smith and I'm a State Certified Journeyman and wireman; basically I'm an electrician. I'm here today with expertvillage.com and we just finished installing this new ceiling fan today. I want to take a moment to share with you, you know we need to pick up some of the garbage and everything that we have created here today. The last thing you want to do is leave a light bulb or something laying on the floor and about 4:00 a.m come walking through here and trip and fall on your rear and break your rear and miss work and make your wife unhappy. That is not going to happen because your wife is already happy with you because you installed a nice working ceiling fan today. So I've already got my tools picked up and put away. I'll make one last check before I walk out to make sure I grab all my tools but you want to make sure that we pick up all our garbage and everything; the old light bulbs we took out. Now on the ceiling fan ours didn't work good so we are just going to throw it away but your's still might work just fine. So you might want to save it to put it on the back porch or out in the garage or somewhere you want a nice ceiling fan that you don't mind it is used. You might just want to put it on a garage sale and sell it. Kind of like how we got ours. Before you do that, just make sure you have all your nuts and bolts and everything the old unit all tagged together and just either put it in a box or a garbage bag like I am doing there and sit it out in the garage for later. Somebody might want to come along and just want to buy it from me. So we got it all cleaned up. I'm just going to wrap it up here. I think I have all my tools picked up and get the ladder, fold it up. I'm Chad Smith and we just finished installing this ceiling fan together. Have a good one.
