How to Hide Ceiling Fan Wires & Attach the Base Cover of a Ceiling Fan
Hi! I'm Chad Smith and I'm a State Certified Journeyman wireman; basically an electrician. I'm here today with expertvillage.com and we are mounting this ceiling fan in this house today. Just take this whole bundle being careful not to shred the jacket on the wire or anything like that. You don't really need to be neat with it but just shove these wires up in this hole to get them out of the way. Now be careful with us because you don't want to shred the jack or anything like that to create a short when you go to mount the canopy up. Just take these wires, shove them up in the box and that is all you do. Your ceiling fan is wired. So the next step is just put these screws in. Now be really careful because these are small and you will drop them. Also when you are screwing this in, make sure that you don't cross thread it because it will strip it out and you will never get it started ever again. So these are fairly simple to put in. Just tighten them down, put a little snug on it. You don't need to go crazy on it. Just tighten it down. There you go. So now your canopy is hung and that hid all the wiring and the bracket and everything like that.
