So, how are these flowering teas made? Specifically the art tea, also known as flowering or artisan tea. They take small white tea buds like this one. This is a sample of a Yin Zen silver needle but it's a tea that's like this. They put it all together and they sew it with silk thread with flowers in the middle of it. Sometimes they use clover, sometimes Jasmin blossoms before it opens, sometimes they use Chrysanthemum. It all depends on what the artisan wants to put and what shapes they want to create. The flowers can be big or small but in order for you to really see what the artisans have done you have to brew it. Looking at this, it's quite deceiving because the flower inside you can't tell and also how much tea was used to produce this you also cannot tell until you brew it. Therefore, when you're buying it be careful not to buy too much before brewing a sample. Like here, I'm brewing a sample for you to see. The more tea leaves that you see to produce the base of the flowering teas the better quality that tea is. So, that's how you make flowering tea is through tying with silk threads and bunch all these little buds together to produce a flower.
