Hey it's Laurel again, the fashion design expert and we're talking about platform shoes today and different variations on the platform shoe. The ones that we're going to talk about right now I have drawn as a tie-up-the-calf platform shoe and this is from a collection I designed a couple years ago for school. The shoes I have right here, this is the enlarged version of them and now I will show you the steps in order to draw it. And I'm going to draw it this size, so it makes more sense, but this way you get a complete outfit with the shoes and how it all fits together. So we're now ready to start drawing our tie-up-the-calf platforms and as I've explained about other platforms, the most important part of them is obviously the platform part, hence their name. But with these I like to just, quick draw out my platform and you can always go back in and fix it later. You're going to end up doing that a zillion times anyways. So now that we have a platform shape drawing, I did a Mary Jane type style. And then this part right here, this part right here, this first strap is where the laces are anchored to the shoe. So that's your, that's point zero on the graph of the shoe, and then lace it up. Draw it as high up the calf as you want to go, stopping wherever you want to stop, and then tying, making sure that you have a bow. And your bow, I have it here very visible obviously if you're looking at someone from the side you're not going to be able to see the full bow but I wanted it to be very noticeable that, obviously you have to show in reality that it does tie. So we'll tie this one here and then obviously that part of the bow is going to loop down a little bit. It's not going to be straight across. And then there's a rough drawing of your tie-up-the-calf platforms.
