This next style of hat is nothing new, a beret. Everybody knows a beret hearkens images of Paris, French people wear berets quote, unquote. Mimes wear them, painters wear them. A beret is very easy to draw. The best face shape or the best way to draw a beret is on a face that you have drawn that is tilted. Almost if it is 3/4 of the way tilted as opposed to using side view. Like this is my profile, this is a side view, this is what I have drawn here which is 3/4 view. You see most of my face and you can tell that it is turned and then this would be regular view. When you have a hat that you wear tilted or cocked to one side or has different qualities on either side the best thing to do is do a 3/4 view. That way you can render it showing each of its characteristics. A beret is very easy to draw. Make a little band that goes around your head, angle it over an eye to give it extra emphasis and then make sure you draw in the folds and you're done, good to go.
