I’m Chris Kelley and we are here with Expert Village. Turns – they are out there, you have been riding around, you are feeling pretty good, you got your jumping down pretty good but your body still flies by in the turn. It drives you crazy. Turns are the key. If you can master a turn you are well on your way in becoming a champion. Main thing as in any other riding tip, you are going to want to maintain proper riding, balance position and your attack position. Coming into the turn, weight the front wheel, you don’t want to transfer the weight from the back to the front so you can track around. You will slightly move forward. Say I am turning to the left. I come in. I would throw my inside leg out. What I am doing with that is going to transfer the weight up to the front of the bike to try to track the front wheel. Don’t want to stick it out to the side. Stick it up to the front wheel. That is going to throw that up and allow you to pivot around that leg. You will look ahead, look through the turn to the exit point and you are just going to lean over into it and power out. Get back as soon as you have made the apex turn. Get your feet back on the pegs on the balls of your feet. Get ready to gas, get back on the throttle and ride right back out.
That doesnt look too agressive. Are you riding 100%???
Thanks for the tip. I had this explained to me before, but playing over and over...seemed to be great helper. Keep them coming...
