How to Remove a Tire
Hi! My name is Nate McCullough on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to talk about the proper way for removing the lug nut and removal of the tire. Lug nuts come in different sizes. They are all generally the same shape; the acorn style. You can see on this 4-way it's got 4 different sizes. You want to make sure that you have the proper fit for your lug nuts; otherwise you may strip off the corners and make it difficult to remove, that and slip and bust your knuckles. Right there is the fit you are looking for, just a little bit of play. Take them and spin them on. This is another reason why I like 4-ways. I like to put all my lug nuts in one spot. As you can see I got the cover for the wheel here. That way you don't mix them up or get them lost, kick them under the car. All right once you've got all 5 in the cover you can go ahead and take it and set it off to the side. I put my hand on the top of the tire so that it rocks off of the bottom stud, grab a hold of the bottom of the rim and slide it right off. You can roll the tire out of the way. You now have access to the front end and braking systems.
