Hi! My name is Elizabeth, and on behalf of Expert Village, we’re forward in our series of using beads in your card making. In this segment, we’re going to talk about how to string beads as an embellishment on your card using wire, waxy flax, or some other way to string them on there. This is kind of similar to what we’ll be making. The tool that we will be using for this will be cardstock that I’ve already precut, some wire, and some beads. The first thing we need to do is get our accent piece stamped, so I’m using here a wood mounted rubber stamp. I’m going to open up my stamp pad. When you’re using rubber stamps or any stamp, you want to make sure that your stamp it well inked. You want to look at it and make sure you don’t see any holes where the ink is missing. Then on this sheet here, I’m just going to line this up. I’ve cut this to about the exact measurements. When you stamp you want to go straight down, apply firm pressure, and then take straight up so you can see that it stamped a clear image. If you were to move to the side it can smear your ink, and that will make an image that you wouldn’t be pleased with. At this point, that’s how you stamp. In our next segment, we’ll move to assembling the pieces and adding the string to beads.
