Fabrics: Vintage 1950s Designs

On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Eileen Duffey and I am here in Silva, New York and today we are going to talk about fabrics. This thirteenth fabric we have is a beautiful fabric. The original design is from 1954. This is another upholstery fabric. It is 75 percent cotton and 25 percent nylon and comes in about 10 different color ways. I think it is really cool; very 50's or 60's looking. It runs about $40 a yard. It can be found here in the garment district in New York City. It would make wonderful pillows, to reupholster a chase lounge; those would be absolutely cool. Mix it with some other fluffy fabrics would be great
